OUR FATHER

OUR FATHER WHICH ART IN HEAVAN
HALLOWED BE THY NAME
THY KINGDOM COME, THY WILL BE DONE
ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVAN
GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD
AND FORGIVE US OUR TRESPASSES
AS WE FORGIVE THOSE
WHO TRESPASS AGAINST US
AND LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION
BUT DELIVER US FROM EVIL
FOR THINE IS THE KINGDOM,
THE POWER AND THE GLORY

Recently I was asked to write out this prayer for someone who is very old and has forgotten it. It is the most important prayer on her rosary. I am no Catholic but I know that this is so important for us all to remember. So I have written it out and mailed it to her. She remembers the other prayers on her rosary but has lost this beloved prayer to our Father in her mind. She said if I wrote it out for her she can pray it. I agree and think that is good for her. I would not want to lose it or anything of what the Lord has given me through life. The thought of losing He who is life itself is like looking into the abyss. How can anyone live without our Father in our hearts, minds and soul? Growing old and losing our memories is a terrible part of the curse is it not? Losing our minds is even worse.
